UP

I went to see UP last week and it has to be one of my favourite films I've seen all year. I loved how they mixed some really 'real world' emotional stuff with some really cartoony, off the wall ideas. I was never a huge fan of the early Pixar stuff, they were solid stories but their design sense was just pretty ugly. But ever since the Incredibles the wonderful influence of Brad Bird seems to have dragged them off their path to the uncanny valley.

The uncanny valley? I'm scared! Get me outta there!

Great piece man. Is this done on paper? It looks it.

I'm always annoyed how you're able to take on-model characters and make 'em yer own. Jerk.

Fantastic sketch. Fantastic film.

Let's see a sketch of the rather great zombie cameo from Zombieland. (No spoilers!)

I got all choked up 5 mins into that film, I loved it. I've only seen it Spanish but it still got me. Done on paper or wha?

Yeah, this is old fashioned ink on ye olde paper. There was much manly clearing-of-throats about 5 minutes into the film alright.
